HIKET | Holistic infrastructure for land-use sector carbon sinks

HIKET is a joint consortium project bringing together the University of Helsinki, the Finnish Meteorological Institute, and the Natural Resources Institute Finland. The project seeks to strengthen the monitoring of carbon balances across Finland's land use sector, with the goal of delivering a more reliable and robust knowledge base to support climate policy and decision-making.

Within this initiative, Yucatrote is responsible for evaluating, developing, and calibrating the process-based forest model PREBAS.
